E' con un filo di nostalgia e un occhio di speranza verso il futuro che vi lascio questa notizia (cit). Come alcuni di voi sapranno, il Partyzan si è sempre poggiato sulle figure di Robert Eno e sulla mia per quanto riguarda le produzioni. Robert tuttavia non ha mai gestito l'area management e booking o, quantomeno, non negli ultimi 3 anni, causa trasferimento nello stato pontificio.
E' così che dopo un periodo di transizione si è deciso di cambiare.
Il nome Partyzan ha rappresentato la città di Cosenza per 8 anni, nell'accezione indie del termine, dietro questo nome molte, moltissime persone e tantissima passione e lavoro. Siamo davanti ad un passaggio dovuto, la scena che qui esiste, unita e collaborativa, vuole andare oltre, creare quello che manca.
Quello che manca si chiamerà BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLES.
Management, Booking, Produzioni, eccetera, tanto bolle in pentola.
BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLES non è altro che un tentativo genuino di dare voce e spazio alla musica altra che proponiamo e spingiamo con forza in Italia, ma soprattutto all'estero. Mi sono e ci siamo resi conto di poter avere ottimi feedback dal resto del mondo se ci lavoriamo, ancora siamo all'inizio e tanto c'è da fare. Con umiltà impareremo, sbaglieremo, festeggeremo insieme, non abbiamo paura dei fallimenti ne delle critiche, sappiamo solo che siamo una bella famiglia e che teniamo tantissimo a quello che facciamo e alla vostra incodizionata fiducia.
Per chi si aspettava l'ennesima presentazione ufficiale, dico:"andatevene a quel paese!". Rappresentiamo nemmeno lo 0.01% del mercato, anzi, non siamo nulla per il mercato. Viviamo a stento di questa cosa e lo facciamo solo per passione, non abbiamo intenzione di cambiare la nostra attitudine, vogliamo solo provarci.
E ce la metteremo tutta, tutti insieme. Credeteci.

Need a HOLIDAYS anyone?
In 2010, Holidays (keep it yours) were quickly signalled out by the press as the next big thing, following the release of an EP and two singles. These young lads from Rome have already shared the stage with the likes of Good Shoes, We Have Band, Shy Child and New Young Pony Club, to name a few, and have also played a number of Club NME gigs. The band are currently hard at work recording songs for their upcoming EP. So far, 2011 has seen Holidays supporting various bands including French Films, Is Tropical, Does It Offend You Yeah, etc. Off the stage, their track “Lies” was chosen as the soundtrack for a photo shoot in London for Italian fashion magazine GRAZIA.IT, while the track “Child” was remixed by Casa Del Mirto and included on the latter’s album, “The Nature,” which has just been released.

THE BARBACANS!
2008 marks the debut for The Barbacans, a garage band from central Italy, characterized by powerful Garage sounds, 60s riffs, Fuzz and Farfisa.
The Barbacans are: Pyramid Carnarelli - Voice and Farfisa, Il Sindaco - drums and screams, Walker – guitar, and Psych Guescio - bass.
Since September 2007, The Barbacans participate at several music festivals and perform in some of the biggest Italian clubs, sharing the stage with legendary groups such as The Morlocks,The Trashmen, The Seeds, the A-Bones and many others. Produced by Boss Hoss Records Italy, The Barbacans then recorded their first single on 7" vinyl, distributed internationally by Godown Records, and featuring two songs clearly stating their intentions. In December 2008 their first video “Phantom Opera” is released, produced by Pamela Bursi and directed by Andrea Giomaro, and available online.
In January 2009 The Barbacans record their first LP “God save the Fuzz” at the famous Circo Perrotti Studio in Gijon, Spain. The album has been released in April 2009 in Italy, Europe, Usa and Canada, produced by Boss Hoss Records Italy and distributed internationally by Godown Records, earning positive replies.
During a concert in Urbino an ex police man shoot with his rifle on the band hurting Primitive Guescio and Carnarelli.
They participated at Festival Beat 2009 in Salsomaggiore and toured Spain in October of the same year.
For the 2010 other concerts around Europe in autumn and they'll partecipate at a new 7" super compilation with Thee Vicars(UK), Los Peyotes (Argentina) and Los Explosivos (Mexico)called "The Wildest Things in the World" (cover by Wild Evel - Incredible Staggers!) produced by Bosshoss Records Italy, distributed by Area Pirata.
They'll keep touring Europe in the early 2011 in the early 2011 with over 20 gigs in Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain. New album in 2012 but other good news are coming. They're gonna tour Mexico and China in the early 2012 with world release party @ Shangai.

Less than 6 months after the dual release (the original version + a remix version) of their debut LP “1979,” Casa Del Mirto are back with their second release. The Italian label Mashhh! Records will only be releasing “The Nature,” a double album, on vinyl and in digital format, and it will be available as of September 1st. The album contains 17 tracks which are by no means an ecological statement, but rather an expression of the idea that nature is cyclical.
“The new songs are the result of drawn out crises and major soul- searching,” says Marco Ricci, CDM’s mastermind. He claims that love has allowed him to understand how to move forward and manage his own life. Ricci further explains the meaning of his statement as follows: “All we have to do to see inside ourselves is look out the window. Those who claim the night ends are lying. Those who say the sun cancels out all shadows are lying. What I gathered while recording "The Nature" is that we are all our own explorers. I’ve drawn a map and am making it public. The music is perfectly synchronized with the beating of my flighty heart. The synthesizers are like waves, strong enough, at times, to cover all the rest. The frightened, insecure vocals allow themselves to be overtaken and carried away by the waves.” This is a choral album, very much along the international and cosmopolitan lines of “1979,” and it is not by chance that The Guardian has included it among its pick of this year’s best releases. Praised by critics, it has also been acknowledged by drugapulco mate Washed Out. This album is choral insofar as it speaks to the world thanks to guest vocals by the likes of Freddy Rupert of Former Ghosts, Tjinder Singh and the rapper Dylan Jones. It is the result of teamwork on the part of the entire band. It is, however, also very intimate. It is so intimate that its author has included a second record in an attempt to step away from his own, introspective voyage and welcome collaborations marked by the exchange of conversations, agreements and hugs. The binding element here is mainly ideological. There is no single, main genre, yet there is a unique, identifiable style. Influences include Italo disco and its chill-wave, cosmic evolutions that are channelled to create an instinctive flow that seeks, and perhaps finds, eternity within delay. Saturations which radically change the physical and mathematical concept of music give way to libido, sensory experience and animal instinct. Music and nature come together and turn instinct to poetry and vice versa.

PARTYZAN PRESENTS THE ITALIAN DRUGAPULCO HERO: CASA DEL MIRTO!
Casa Del Mirto is the project from italian producer Marco Ricci, directly from Trento, at the threshold of the Alps mountains.
He’s releasing under the Casa Del Mirto alias through his Mashhh! Records.
Clouded and retro-futuristic music, a mix between italo disco, chillwave, shoegaze and more.
So far and yet so close to the sea: echoes of a distant summer.
His cathcy debut album, "1979", released after a couples of EPs and singles, recalls the work of Washed Out (Casa del Mirto fan!), Neon Indian and Toro Y Moi and features beautiful songs like Deep In Your Mind, The Haste and Killer Haze (there’s a video for each song, you can see here).
"Yes, you can call Casa Del Mirto ‘chillwave’ or ‘glo-fi’, but I feel the songs have a different mood, something more intimate, melancholic and familiar. Not to mention those gorgeously brilliant sounds". (Polaroid)
We call this particular touch DRUGAPULCO.
Marco presents his project:" Everything started in 2005/06, with a different style than today’s. The first 2 albums, “Supertrendycoolfashion” and “Numero Uno”, almost touched the sound of 90s House. I used to write music for clubs and discos, but at the end I got tired of it. I always liked chamber music, intimate and introspective. So I felt the need to create something that one could listen also with a headset, giving shape to songs rather than tunes to dance at. Now CdM is an outfit that I am happier to wear, without It I would feel naked. “Casa del Mirto” means “Home of myrtle”. Myrtle is a plant often used for spirits. It’s actually hard to find where I live, but I really liked the name. Now, after 2 years I think it is a cacophonic name, but it’s the only one I got! So I don’t think about it and I drink the liquor".
In may 2011 Casa Del Mirto announced the second Lp "The Nature" and realized a new single "Just Promise" with the deep and dark vocals of Freddy Ruppert of Former Ghosts.

PARTYZAN presents : JENIFEREVER ITALIAN TOUR 2011.
Swedish ambient indie experts Jeniferever are back with their third album "Silesia", an expertly crafted mix and matching of sprawling post-rock/shoegaze structures and glacial Mew-esque indie-rock as crushingly delivered as their previous two long players. It’s probably about time more people started caring about this band, especially since they deal in the sort of sounds that demand to be taken to heart. From the gently enveloping title track, the lilting Cure-esque synths of ‘The Beat Of Our Own Blood’, the chiming ‘Cathedral Peak’ to the cotton wool calm of the beyond epic closer ‘Hearths’ this is record of no small beauty. I MIGLIORI ANNI DELLA NOSTRA VITA.
Lei dove si trovava la notte del 23 marzo 2003? Se lo ricorda?
Cosa è successo negli ultimi otto anni? Te lo sei mai chiesto? In otto anni cambia tutto dentro e attorno a te ed io mi ricordo di molti di voi, mi ricordo dei vostri sorrisi e dei capelli folti, poche rughe, studenti per lo più, così diversi dagli altri, così sinceri. C'erano quelli in fotta coi Motorpsycho, quelli che da Seattle non si esce vivi, i patiti di Sparklehorse, i fanatici di Smiths e Joy Division, quelli che Pavement e Pixies non si battono e non c'è niente di meglio dei Blonderedhead, i fanatici del post punk e quelli dei visual e di Bjork.
E poi tutti divisi sui gruppi italiani, i cosiddetti gruppi porta come Marlene ed Afterhours, così utili da adolescenti, così inutili e così romantici una volta che sei con i vinili dei Sonic Youth a fregarti il cervello, i flashiati per i QOTSA e i fighettini matti per gli Strokes. E poi le discussioni sugli Shins e sui Gun Club, i Kraftwerk e i Depeche Mode, Fisherspooner e il trip hop, il punk funk e Washington, i Fugazi nel cuore
e i Massimo Volume come religione, i Dinosaur Jr nello stereo. E poi il post rock e i Mogwai e chili di musica di cd condivisi e masterizzati e le feste a casa e il CSN, il Prince e il Night Hawk. C'era la Partyzine, c'era Orfeo.
Tu con chi stavi? Eri single? E i tuoi migliori amici? Sembrava l'amore della tua vita...
Eppure questi siamo noi. Persone che otto anni fa han cominciato a a camminare insieme.
Questa è l'unica cosa di certo. L'altra cosa importante è che senza troppa consapevolezza abbiamo fatto scena, abbiamo creato una scena che non c'era. E abbiamo fatto la storia.
La nostra storia. E allora brindiamo che se allarghiamo le braccia la nostra energia è pari a quella di un reattore nucleare (malfunzionate).
Buon compleanno a tutti e "quando tornate a casa date un bacio ai vostri bambini e ditegli che è il Partyzan che glielo manda" (cit. C. R.)

Camera 237 represent Partyzan, Cosenza, a scene and a city that urging the band forward in their solemn march. Considered by many to be one of the most sublime live acts in Italy, they’ve been awarded ‘Best Live Act of the Year’(20--) by Enver (Blow Up Magazine) for Italian Embassy.
After VECTORIAL MAZE (produced by Fabio Magistrali), and INSPIRATION IS NOT HERE (produced by Francesco Donadello of Giardini di Mirò), Camera 237 are back and have made some radical changes – this time around, they’ve put in lead and back-up vocals, synthesizers and have adopted a new approach to song writing.
All set to kick off their new tour in March, they’ll be performing songs from their forthcoming album Alone In An Empty Bed. The band’s third album and was recorded in Bologna by the very talented Bruno Germano, who’s already worked with DID, Disco Drive, and My Awesome Mixtape, to name but a few.
Camera 237 have an impressive slew of noteworthy performances including: Arezzo Wave, Neapolis Festival with Nick Cave and Tori Amos, opening act for Karate, Musica D’Alta Quota (International Noise Festival), a memorable duet with Hugo Race at Partyzan, a performance with Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) in December 2006, Pensiero Stupendo for Rockit alongside Giardini di Mirò, SixDaysSonicMadness - 10-year running festival which showcases the best indie acts from Italy and around the world,Ypsigrock Festival alongside Architecture in Helsinki, Mouse on Mars and Joe Lalli (Fugazi), and finally, Parklife Festival in Milan with Caribou, Horrors, Crocodiles, and Cornershop.

CAPTAIN QUENTIN
Dopo la presentazione dell'album al Nerofactory in mezzo a un bagno di folla, ecco arrivare le prime recensioni tra le quali spicca l'8 su un massimo di 8 di Blow Up.
Nell'articolo Enrico Enver Veronese esalta le doti dei ragazzi e considera Instrumental Jet Set alla stregua del nuovo dei Verdena e degli Aucan tra i tre migliori dischi italiani dell'inizio di nuovo anno.

In casa Camera 237 si lavora alacremente e si terminano i preparativi per l'uscita imminentissima del terzo lavoro sulla lunga distanza, secondo per Foolica rec.
Alone in an empty bed (questo il titolo) sarà presentato con la coproduzione del Partyzan e di Radio Ciroma (che nell'occasione festeggia il compleanno) giorno 2 aprile alla Città dei Ragazzi (CS).
A giorni l'uscita del video del singolo Carry On per la regia di Fabio Rao.

La new entry del Partyzan Booking suona più all'estero che in Italia e si prepara ad affrontare un calendario fittissimo di impegni a seguito di una stampa straniera (pitchfork in testa) che li vuole tra i beniamini della nuova onda. Prima di cominciare un tour de force europeo tra aprile ed agosto, i nostri si concedono poco al live nella seconda metà di marzo con solo due date di prestigio: una italiana il 12 marzo a Roma e una portoghese il 19 a Lisbona.
GRIPWEED
Continua l'attività in studio della band per la preparazione di nuovo materiale e al contempo si prospetta la partecipazione ad un evento a marzo ancora ufficioso. E' tempo che la crisalide diventi farfalla...
DVNO and SCENARIOROCK
Altra nuova entrata prestigiosa per Partyzan booking, la band del cantante e compositore delle hit mondiali di Justice DVNO e con Scenariorock di Skizodancer.
Appena tornati con SO-ME e la truppa ED BANGER dal tour australiano, a marzo si dividono tra nuove produzioni in studio e spettacoli nella madre patria Francia.
DISTAPE
Il progetto DISTAPE è quasi terminato. L'etichetta aspetta la consegna, la data d'esordio già ufficiosamente c'è. Ne parleremo sicuramente di più in seguito, ora lasciamolo lavorare...

Gli svedesi, già vecchia conoscenza partyzana, approdano dopo veloce trattativa sull'isola felice del Partyzan, previsto tour italiano prima settimana di maggio, contattateci se interessati.
KYLE
Kyle aka Michele Alessi tira un sospiro di sollievo dopo un febbraio densissimo. E' il momento dei Captain Quentin e Michele lo sa. In ogni caso presenza di apertura al Maledetta Primavera dell'Unpop a Reggio Calabria sabato 19 marzo di spalla proprio ai Capitani.

Fermi per il momento, con Fabio impegnato sul fronte cosentino e Robert su quello Romano.
Li potete trovare divisi nelle due città come solidi protagonisti dei ballamenti.
Qualcosa bolle in pentola, ma bisognerà aspettare primavera inoltrata per annunciarlo.
SKELTERS
Il mese di marzo è mese di live per gli Skelters. I ragazzi si distinguono alla serata romana alla Locanda Atlantide sono si divertono in mezzo a 500 scatenati e continuano a suonare costantemente quasi ogni week-end. Il loro sito www.skelters.it per rimanere sempre aggiornati è tra l'altro sempre aggiornato e molto godibile.
PARTYZAN PRODUZIONI
Questa vita è mia e voglio MASSIMO VOLUME. Settimana speciale per il Partyzan che insieme a Sporco Impossibile realizza la splendida serata con il live della banda di Emidio Clementi.
Nel pomeriggio momento intimo e presentazione del libro di Andrea Pomini (anch'egli presente sia alla presentazione che alla serata in veste di dj) sulla loro carriera in compagnia della band e della brillante Ester Apa.
